Deus Ex Go Will Release This Summer
June 8, 2016
Deus Ex Go, the third game in Square Enix’s “Go” series will be coming to phones and tablets within the next few months. The game will feature the same amazing minimalistic presentation found in the Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go titles. Square Enix released a trailer for the game, but seeing as it’s only 21 seconds long, there isn’t too much information to go off of.
It will be interesting to see if the game implements the advancement choices that were available in other Deus Ex games. Being able to choose wether to go in guns blazing or stealthily taking out enemies would be a nice touch to make the game stand out from the other titles in the “Go” series, and it would definately give it that Deus Ex feel.
It would be neat if the game somehow tied into the upcoming release of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Perhaps earning 100% completion of certain collectibles could unlock a code for an outfit in Mankind Divided, or a npc could be playing Deus Ex Go on their phone in Mankind Divided. There’s a lot of room for creativity there.
The game will probably end up making its way to PC and consoles after its mobile release. Hitman Go made the jump, and I’m sure Lara Croft Go will soon join in. The added support for 4K resolution and larger screens is always appreciated.
