Insomniac Games is continuing to support Ratchet & Clank post-launch with a new array of graphical features for players that have a PS4 Pro console. The extra graphical power in the PS4 Pro has made it possible for the new update to bring features like 4K resolution, temporal anti-aliasing, motion blur, and depth of field effects.

Of course you’ll need a 4K screen to play the game at that resolution, but even players with a 1080p screen will see noticeable differences to the game’s graphical quality. I may have to bite the bullet and buy the PS4 Pro if developers continue to add new features for games running on the Pro.

The console’s $400.00 asking price seems very reasonable for 4K gaming; even if the games are upscaled instead of native 4K resolution. Check out the PlayStation Blog for more information on the PS4 Pro and the new ratchet & Clank update. What do you think? Is the PS4 Pro’s extra graphical power worth the upgrade?
